Brights - Heartbreakers

1. Home
2. Beartbreakers
3. Five Year Plan
4. Operate Me
5. We Are Getting Restless

Brights have released their debut album titled "Heartbreakers." This album is one that really shows the band doing a more laid back, Punk style here. When we listen to this album, we hear similarities to that of The Flatliners, or The Menzingers, so if you like those artists, you could like this album. They have done a solid job on this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded fairly well and it stands up to bigger artists and albums with quality recordings. The instrumentation on this album is not bad either, nothing that will blow you away, but also can't take anything away from the band as you can certainly tell the band can play. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals here are nice and clear, but still have that very punk feel to them. Their vocalist has a great voice for this style of punk. Solid overall. With the lyrics, the band goes for messages of  breaking hearts, not having a backup plan for life, being confused and breaking down from relationships. These guys hit a lot of the things young people have to deal with, so a lot of youth can relate to this album. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of this album. We suggest you try out the title track "Heartbreakers." Brights have made a debut punk album that introduces us to the band but also gives a solid effort that could really fast track this band career. We really like this album. Hopefully we can see more of this band soon. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it. They have since called it quits (R.I.P.)
