Blackheart have released their debut album titled "Demon City." This album shows this band as one that is really into the hardcore and metal scene. These guys have a sound that is quite similar to that of a Five Finger Death Punch or a Unearth, so if you are into those bands, you could like this album. They haven't done that bad of a job on the album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded a bit better that average so that is good. The bands instrumentation on this album is pretty good, they have some pretty good guitar riffs on the album. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, when the vocalist stops and sings, it is a little off key and needs some work there, but the screams on this album are not bad. With the lyrics on this album, they are what you would expect from a young metal band on their first album. Some very generic subjects and theatrics in the lyrics. They could use a little more meaning and substance, but thats okay, it is a first album so its expected. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of this album. Blackheart have made a debut, sort of welcome to album that shows you the kind of music they want to play and the direction of the band. We hope with some progression that the band can change up the vocal style a bit and make this their own style. Now all that is left is to get out there and play shows to get a buzz.
