Letdown - Skin+Bones

1. Intervention
2. Glory
3. Howl With The Wolves

Letdown have released their debut album titled "Skin+Bones." This album is one that really shows off the band in a dirty, grimy, down in the trenches punk band. This band has a similar style to the rest of the bands in their local area, but on the international scene, probably like a dirtier Real Friends or a Knuckle Puck. The band has done an okay job on this one. When looking at the recording quality of the album, the album has been done pretty good for the most part. You can notice some imperfections here and there, but overall, the sound is alright. With the instrumentation on the album, it is a little bit above average so that is good. Now onto the lyrics and vocals, the lyrics could use a little bit more work to get the full idea of the story out and the vocals could use a little more of a traditional singing style as opposed to a grungy talking style. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song, or listen to the whole album as it is only three songs. Then you will know the style of the band. Letdown have done a pretty good job making their debut, sort of welcome to letdown album. This one seems to want to put the band in with the newer pop punk, which isn't bad. We do however hope the band plays more around their area, to get their name out and progresses with new music. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it.
