Kittie have released their debut album "Kittie." Here it is, for all you Kittie fans, the first ever EP from the band. This album had only 100 copies made, so this is a rare and hard to find album. Now this album is definitely not to the level of Kittie you'd expect from an album today, but it does have the aggression you feel from the band since day one. Some of these songs ended up on the Spit album, so take them as sort of demos for that. When you look at the recording and instrumentation of this album, it isn't the greatest, but for a brand new young band, the playing is pretty good. Now the recording could use some work, especially on the sung vocals as they sound like they are being yelled at you from across the room. The song to listen to would be "4315 Charlotte" as this song is really the best one on this album and it transformed into a big hit for the band. Overall, for what this album is, this is a pretty decent album, so listen to it for what it is at the time and not what they are now. Keep an eye out for what Kittie do.
