Lyon has released her first album titled "Indian Summer." This album shows her in a very indie pop style and sound. This is a style that has started becoming pretty popular recently. She has a similar sound to that of artists like Lana Del Rey and earlier Metric, so if you are into those artists, you could like this album. Lyon has done a pretty good job on this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album sounds really good, the only thing is the vocals are echoy and in the back, but I think thats what they were going for. The instrumentation is very keyboard and synth heavy, which isn't too out there As a young solo artist, this is something you pretty much get, and being that it's pop as well. Now onto the vocals and lyrics. The vocals on this album are pretty standard, but you can tell she can certainly sing. They have put a vocal echo on his voice and are trying to give it more of an indie feel to it. She has a great voice, we just aren't a fan of the echo on the voice. With the lyrics, Lyon goes for songs about relationships and the feeling of another person. This is quite common in pop and younger artists. This is also something a lot of fans of this type of music can react with, so it works pretty well for her. We would like to see a little more in the lyrics though. If you are looking for a single to this album, give the song "Indian Summer" your attention, as it is the best song on the album, and really shows off the style she is going with the best. Lyon has made a debut album that really shows what she wants her music to be and sound like. This is the introduction to her, and it gives off that bedroom singer vibe quite heavily. Not bad all in all, we just hope to see in the next release, something a little more dynamic. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it. She has since called it quits (R.I.P.)
