Ivory Hours - Mary

1. Hello Honey
2. Mary
3. The Attic
4. Youngblood
5. Nettle
6. I'll Stay Away

Ivory Hours have released their second album titled "Mary." This album follows the sound and style the band created with their previous album. These guys have an Arkells or a Hollerado feel to them, so give them a listen especially if you like those bands. They have done a pretty good job on this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded fairly decently and the instrumentation on the album is pretty good for three indie members. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals here are pretty decent, you can clearly hear him and they sound pretty perfect for the type of band they are trying to go for here, nice indie sound. With the lyrics, they also have a nice message with them that you can really understand. Some of the songs are not positive, but you can really grasp the message of the songs. If you are looking for a single to this album, give the song "Mary" your attention as, not only is it the title track, but it also gives you the best feel for the album as a whole. Ivory Hours have made a pretty decent indie record here and it just overall solidifies their sound as a band. These guys have upped their level and it is nice to see. We hope to see this band continue on the up and up. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think about it.
