Sea Perry - Why The Folk Not

1. Run Run Run
2. Best Of Me
3. Anchors

Sea Perry have released their debut album titled "Why The Folk Not." This album shows of a new band trying to show off their version of folk rock music. These guys have a light, airy feel to their music that can appeal to almost anyone. They have a similar sound to that of Mumford & Sons or The Lumineers, so if you like artists like this, you could really like this album. They have done a pretty decent job on this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded quite well and has a nice sound. The instrumentation on this album is nothing special, but they can play which is great. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on this album have a really nice clear sound that you can hear each word perfectly. You can tell that their singer can really sing. With the lyrics, the band goes for more of a positive message to carry over to the listeners. They sing about making it through the day, finding the best of themselves and getting out of tight notes that you find yourself in. These are really good to hear and have a positive message. We feel people can really relate to these lyrics, which will make this album hit well. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song or listen to the whole album as it is only three songs. Then you will get the feel of this band.  Sea Perry have made a debut album that we feel will hit well with the folk rock crowd. These guys have great messages, nice, light songs and great voice singing the songs. We just hope the band can get out more so that people can hear these songs. Great job on these first three songs and we can't wait to hear what comes next. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it.
