The Wooden Sky have released their second album titled "If I Don't Come Home You'll Know I'm Gone" This album follows a similar style and sound that the band started with on their previous album. It has that solo artist, folky, indie rock feel to it which seems to be something people are enjoying more nowadays. He has a similar feel to that of Mumford & Sons or Northcote, so if you like either of those artists, you could like this album. He has done a pretty decent job here. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded to a very nice quality. The sound and crispness is really good on this album, nice sounding. The instrumentation on the album is a little underwhelming due to is being pretty much a solo act, but he still plays very well and has a nice sound. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on this album are very soulful. He has a voice that really musical voice that really works in the new indie scene that is getting really popular. He can sing very well and his voice is nice and clear. Overall his voice is something anyone can listen to and we hope they do. With the lyrics, The Wooden Sky go for messages of having feelings for someone after they are gone, being judged for the things you've done, looking back on what you did in your past, and adventures in the night. These are just some of the things they talk about on this album. There seems to be a lot of spiritual references in this album as well. If you are looking for a single to this album, we can't find if there was a single or not, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the idea of the album. The Wooden Sky have made an album that really works and sounds great here. If you are an indie or folk music fan, you should like this album. We hope to see this band out more and getting people into them. They have done a great job here. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it.
