Desperate Union - Desperate Union

1. Black & White Lies
2. Middle Of The Riot
3. I'll See You
4. Not Listening

Desperate Union have released their debut album which is self titled. This album is one that is on that verge between hard rock and alternative rock. Either way, this is a radio album that many people can get into. They have a similar sound to that of a Finger Eleven or a Three Days grace, so if you are into those artists, you could like this album. They have done a pretty good job on this one. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded to a pretty decent standard. The instrumentation on the album is nothing really going to blow you away, but it does have some good playing on it. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on this album are not bad, the singer can sing and he has that real radio rock sound to his voice. It is nice and clear also so that helps. With the lyrics they have a a bit of an edge to them with lyrics about things just not going well and being in a rut. People will associate with these lyrics. If you are looking for a single to this album, give the song "Black & White Lies" your attention as it is the best song on the album and really gives you a feel for the rest of it. Desperate Union have made a debut album that is going to hit the wide range of rock fans and get a lot more people into them. As long as they clear the quality of some of the songs up, this band could really do well. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it. They have since called it quits (R.I.P.)
