The Bandicoots have released their debut album titled "This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things." This album is a very indie release and it really shows off how the band is trying to fully amerce themselves with this genre. This band has the feel of a Black Keys or a Arkells, so if you like those bands, you could like these guys. They have done an alright job on this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded fairly well. The bands instrumentation on this album is alright as well. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals here sound really crisp and clear but it just seems like something is missing for that indie feel, while the lyrics on this album are not too bad, they seem to work for the way the band is going. If you are looking for a single to this album, give the song "Just After Dark" your attention as this is the best song on the album and it gives you the feel of the album. The Bandicoots have done a pretty good job on their welcome to album and shown you what they want the band to be like. This is a good start for their band and hopefully with this they can progress and make this something to listen to for quite awhile. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it.
