Greg Borgardts has released his debut album which is quite literally "In Good Spirits". The album has a very acoustic indie feel to it, and when listening to the album, you get the feel of the vocals sounding like that of Tokyo Police Club. Greg has done an alright job on his debut album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the quality could of been done a little better, but he was going for that quiet, lo-fi feeling so it is suppose to be that way. The instrumentation on this album, being acoustic, is pretty average. Now onto the vocals and the lyrics, the vocals could be a little bit louder, while the lyrics to some of the songs could of used more verses instead of a couple words, guitar, a couple words. It seemed to have a very draggy and not much substance to the songs. If you are looking for a single for this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of the album. Greg Borgardts has done an alright job on this debut album, it is his first and a sort of welcome to his music, but we hope that he keeps it up while progressing. If we see that we could see this go a bit further. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it.
