Ivory Hours - Two Keys

Ivory Hours debut album is one that seems to be a little bit more than just the regular, straight indie that we continue to get today. This band has a bit of a poppy, keyboard sort of thing going on in the background to make it just different enough. We are going to say July Talk is a close band to them, so if you like them, then you'll probably like this band. When looking at the recording quality of this album, it has been recorded fairly decently but the instrumentation could use a little work here. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the female/male vocals of the band are alright, just a little too folky for us but the lyrics here are pretty good. If you are looking for a single to this album, listen to the song "Two keys" as that is the best song on the album and it shows off the feel of the album the best. Ivory Hours have done an alright job here. Hopefully they just continue to do what they do, play more shows and make more music. Good job and good luck. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it.
