Heart Attack Kids is a 2 piece band that really goes out on a limb with the crazy distorted punk sound. They have a similar sound to bands like Solids and Single Mothers. This band has an alright sound here. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been done to average standards, but they are going for that distorted, dirty, low-hi sound so thats okay. Now onto the lyrics and vocals, the vocals could also use some work, but again, they are going for this sound so it also works. The thing that needs a bit of work is the lyrics to be more meaningful and have better stories to them. If you are looking for a single for this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen for what the album sounds like. Heart Attack Kids have done a pretty good job with album for a first one and especially for a duo here, but hopefully they progress and continue refining their sound while playing more shows. Look out for them to get bigger, so follow them on their sites. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it.
