Cain and Abel come from the mind of Most Serene Republic's Peter van Helvoort who ended up making this project his full time venture. You Lost the Human Race is the debut effort from his new project. This album is a concept album about the start of man kind and how we live our lives from birth till death. This album has been recorded pretty nicely and it sounds great. These lyrics are also pretty good as they tell a story. On the music side, the playing is kinda average but its more the story they are going for here anyways. Now with a certain song, you can't really just listen to one song or you will not understand what they are trying to portray, so just click play and listen to the whole thing. This is a pretty cool idea and they have done a decent job on this indie album. Make sure you listen to it and decide if you like Cain and Abel as they are quite a decent band especially if you like Most Serene Republic. They have since called it quits (R.I.P.)
