Alpha Galates are a band that rocks but in a dark way, this is what they show on their major label debut "A Stimulus For Reason." The album is a little different in the sound and style that they play. This may hurt them a little but standing out today is what is most important. Being a rock band that has female members is also something unique but more accepted in the rock community today, although you can't tell from the record, these chick rock just as hard. Being a major label release, the album has been recorded well and the band has the ability to play. Although the lyrics are a little out there here and they, they still manage to capture the listeners attention which is what you want. The song to listen to on this album is "Standing" and it really does rock, but has the darkness to fit the sound they want to portrait. This also shows what the album sounds like. Alpha Galates have made an album that will peak the interest of rock fans, but it is not sure if they can actually keep them with this effort. Listen to the album and decide on your own. Let's see what they do in the future. Tey have since called it quits (R.I.P.)
