Of Tall Tales have released their debut EP which had been self-titled. This album paints the band in a weird light as they seem like a band in the vein of a Coheed and Cambria trying to be a hardcore or screamo band. The sense here is that the band should either go more of a progressive metal route with the singer they have or switch the rolls of the singers, to make the screaming the main vocal. When listening to this album, you do have to give them a lot of credit as it has been done well. Listening to this album you can see the quality is there and the ability is pretty decent as well, but the singing is excellent. One song to listen to would be "Circadia" this song shows what the band and album is all about the best. Overall, with a few changes and some progression of their sound, this band could really do something here, they have the pieces, they just need to figure out how to use them in the best way. Give this album a listen.
