Dinner Bells debut album is one that brings the folky bluegrass to the forefront and makes people know that it is still out there going strong. This band is actually an alright band to listen to despite making music in a genre that doesn't have a big following and seems to be the older crowd that is into it. When you look at how the band and the recording sounds here, the album is an alright sound but it could be better, but since this music isn't going crazy with the playing ability of the musicians and like to have a light, airiness to it, the band sound pretty decent. The lyrics are what you would expect from a band in this genre as well. if you are looking for a single to listen to on this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and you will get the feeling of the album. Dinner Belles are not reinventing the folk and bluegrass genre(s) but they are making their way in it which is a good thing for this band.
