Shotgun Rules have released their third album titled "Demo Sessions Vol. 1" This album really shows the band really hitting their stride and making a solid effort with their music. These guys are pretty hard to categorize or even say that there are other bands like them, All we can say is that if you like mid 200's music, you will like this band. They have not done too bad of a job on this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded to a not too bad standard. The instrumentation on this album is quite good. It really shows off the potential to become a great band here. Kudos to this band. Now onto the vocals and  lyrics, the vocals are pretty solid here. They have a nice tone and he can certainly sing these songs in the perfect style. This band has a great sound and for the most part, his vocals work just right on each song. With the lyrics, this band goes for a more indirect route of delivering the message. They really make you think about the song and you better be fully down with them. This album chooses to pick the trials and tribulations of life and a lot of people can relate with this. If you are looking for a single to this album, give the song "I'm Not Fully Down" your attention as it is the best song on the album and really gives you an idea on how the rest of it sounds. Shotgun Rules have really done a nice job on this album. We can't wait ti ll we get a full offering of this style and have our ears blown. We really like this album and hope this band can make it. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it. They have since called it quits (R.I.P.)
